Man City’s form at home to promoted sides last season was a little underwhelming – W1 D1 L1 – Combined Goals 4-3.
Man City were unbeaten (W4 D1) at home to bottom six sides last year scoring a combined 10-1.
Norwich won the last meeting between these sides on a Saturday 3-2 in their last Premier League campaign.
Man City have won the last three games v Norwich at home by a combined 14-1. Much like the odds of a Norwich win.
Norwich have now lost 11 games in a row in the Premier League. Their opening to the season doesn’t help. But they are a long way behind the worst losing streak in the Premier League held by Sunderland of 20 games spread from 2002 to 2006.

Both teams scored two goals and lost last weekend.
Aston Villa won the last meeting between these sides on a Saturday last season, the win previous to that was 2008, eight games prior.
This Saturday’s game continues a barely interesting pattern of a Saturday game between these sides every seven years. Going backwards the last two August Saturday fixtures between these sides were in 2014 and 2007, making the 2021 the third in that sequence now. Everton have only won three of the 38 games between these sides at Leeds on a Saturday. Their last triumph was in 1951.
Leeds have have won their last five clashes in August v Everton.
As for clashes in August on a Saturday, there could be loads of goals. 27 goals have been scored in six games on a Saturday in August. Leeds won five of those.
Leeds are on the Premier League’s best current unbeaten home run with six games undefeated.

Man Utd finished last season unbeaten away from home (W12 D7)
Man Utd haven’t lost at Southampton since 2003 – their current unbeaten run is a lucky 13.
No team averaged more points per game on a Sunday last season than Man Utd.
Southampton finished last in the league table from January 1 last season.
Southampton conceded the most goals v Big Six opposition last season with 35 in 12 matches. Losing 9-0 to Man Utd doesn’t help.

Wolves had the third best home record v London clubs last season (W4 D1 L1)
Spurs were undefeated in five away games in the midlands (W4 D1)

Wolves’ Strongman Adam Traore won the weekend in GW1 for Dribbles, Successful Take Ons, and tightest clothing.

Despite being slammed for being beaten by promoted Brentford, Arsenal created the most chances last weekend of any other side. And the most shots with 22 – six more than a side who scored five more goals than they did.
Arsenal lost the fewest games to London opposition last season with one. Chelsea conceded the fewest goals v London clubs with five in ten matches.
Chelsea scored just six goals in 12 matches v Big Six sides last season. Only Fulham and Burnley had fewer.
