NRL Round 11 Tips Alternative – Gurgler v Discipline + Barely Interesting Stats

Time for another dose of our weekly rugby league stats and stuff but we are worried that our Alternative NRL Round 11 Tips will come under more scrutiny this weekend and be in danger of spending the internet’s equivalent of ten minutes off the field. Our website did crash for an hour or so yesterday so perhaps that has already been applied. The NRL move fast.

With your weekly NRL tipping, instead of allowing the competition admin to give you the away teams for when you don’t care about who you tip, why not take on board our weekly Alternative NRL Tipping method instead. You’ve got nothing to lose by coming this far already.

Each week we have a new theme, and occasionally it will have nothing to do with rugby league. Just the way we like it. This week is about the discipline records of each team so far in 2021.

In addition to the tips are a whole bunch of barely interesting stats for the round of NRL ahead. Impress your neighbours, parcel delivery drivers, and fellow passengers by stealing them and sharing.

Good luck with your Alternative NRL Round 11 Tips if you choose to use them.

NRL Round 11 Tips Alternative – Gurgler v Discipline

So here are this week’s alternative tips. The method to how it works is below.

nrl round 11 tips - weekly selections

METHOD TO THE MADNESS

We have got the stats from the NRL website for Send Offs, Sin Bins and On Reports for 2021 and got a total across the three with one point for each.

The team with the fewest points gets the tip as we are presuming they are less likely to get into trouble this week and therefore less likely to have players off the field and therefore more likely to win.

Note: Eels won on a countback of fewer sin bins. Gold Coast and Bulldogs have exactly the same everything so left us with no choice but to declare a draw.

We also say stuff the alternative tips and supply our own to see if we can beat the absurd. So far we’re winning.

COWBOYS to beat Knights
TIGERS to beat Warriors
SHARKS to beat Dragons
TITANS to beat Bulldogs
ROOSTERS to beat Broncos
STORM to beat Raiders
RABBITOHS to beat Panthers
EELS to beat Sea Eagles

  • Warriors have lost their last three matches at Central Coast stadium on a Friday.

  • The Broncos have now lost 15 games in a row away from home and 1o in a row away to Sydney teams.
  • The Roosters have won 17 of the 20 clashes at home to Queensland sides since 2014. Broncos only win came in 2018.

  • Melbourne have scored 40 or more points in six of their last seven games.
  • Melbourne have won all six away games v Canberra on a Saturday.
  • Penrith have a record of 6-5 when playing at non regular NRL grounds like this weekend. It drops to 1-2 when they are the “away” team. Souths have a record of 9-8 at their non-regular grounds in Qld and Perth. All of theirs have been home games.
  • Souths have only lost 4 of the 18 clashes v Sydney teams since the start of last season. Two of those have been losses to Penrith. Penrith are 16/17.
  • Manly have lost 5/6 away games to Parramatta since 1998 and are 0/2 v Parramatta at Bankwest Stadium. They have also won just 6/23 away games v other Sydney teams from 2018.
