FPL Captain Tips Gameweek 25 – CAPTAIN’S TABLE
Here we assemble the finest stats we can think of to get the best picture of who should wear the armband for your team.
It is a mix of current FPL form, historical goal scoring and assist form v opponents, relative FPL performance per their cost and the difficulty of their upcoming game designed by our in house difficulty ratings system.
Each category is given a weighting, and points assigned relative to that high point. Each category score is totaled for he final score.
The final score is out of 100, with that high mark being a rare occurrence of aligning suns, moons and planets of FPL.
THE VERDICT
Patrick Bamford is your man this weekend with the two games, both winnable for Leeds, and the one against Southampton looks like it could be full of goals. Decent scoring record against both and form is good too. But as per our visual below, he does waste a lot of chances. The most just ahead of Timo Werner and Jamie Vardy.
Raphina is a new comer to the Captains Table but has almost as much to offer as Patrick Bamford and could be a great differential.
Bruno Fernandes is the best of the player in a single game week, in form, has a goal and an assist in his only game v Newcastle, and scored midweek in the Europa League. Newcastle aren’t great and there could be a few goals in it for Man UTd.
James Maddison, Harvey Barnes and Jamie Vardy all scored and looked great last weekend against Liverpool. Playing in the Europa League will add some doubt over who will play, especially for Vardy. Jamie Vardy has a goal a game in five matches v Aston Villa. In form, and even better away from home.
Ilkay Gundogan & Phil Foden aren’t quite as high up the Captain’s Table as previous week as they have just the one game this GW. The nagging worry is the return of Kevin de Bruyne and whether that will mess up the starting sides and benchings again. With Champions League coming up, there’s more potential rotation. Captaining anyone from Man City at the moment is taking it on faith.
Our Selection – Patrick Bamford, Raphina or Bruno Fernandes if you have Leeds take one of our two selections, or Fernandes looks the safest best for the single week players.
