Alternative Week 11 Premier League Predictions – Gurgler v COVID-19 Tier Regulations

Football is in full swing, with more games than we know what to do with, it’s getting harder to find winners every week in the Premier League, so to help we offer up our Alternative Week 11 Premier League Predictions.

This week continues our alternative way of selecting Premier League winners from the last few seasons. Sometimes they are based on football stats, and some have a very obscure link to football or news events of that week. Or based on something for no good reason at all.

With Coronavirus still dominating the news around the world, and with new Tier introduced in the UK with some new freedoms including actual people allowed into Football Ground, it is time to turn Covid stats into Premier League winners.

To find out why and who, please read on in our Alternative Week 11 Premier League Predictions .

Alternative Week 11 Premier League Predictions – Gurgler v COVID-19 Tier Regulations

The UK government has assigned tiers to the whole of the UK, and for football teams in England in Tier Two, this means fans.

The team’s area who are in the better will be the most happy, and have fans allowed at their games, so therefore this positive energy will flow through to the football team. So that team is more likely to win.

We say anyway. The results are below.

Week 11 Premier League Predictions – Best of Barely Interesting Stats

Here’s the best of the barely interesting facts from the full Premier League Week 11 preview.

The last time Everton beat Burnley at Turf Moor on a Saturday was in 1970 – seven games ago.

Fulham have a 100% record against top six sides away from home. Man City have a 100% record at home to bottom six sides.

Between 2003 and 2008 Manchester City won just one of the ten clashes with Fulham.

Man Utd have 16 points, have currently scored 16 goals, and conceded 16 goals. West Ham have 17 points, have scored 17 goals, but sadly for this bit only conceded 11 goals. Killjoys.

Chelsea have the lowest xA (Expected Goals against) in the Premier League this season. Currently the only team with an xA of under 10 goals.

No side have been caught offside more than Leeds.

Both teams have the same average points per game against the bottom six sides at home for West Brom and away for Crystal Palace. (2.0 pts per game)

Despite West Brom scoring just four goals at home this season, it is still one more than Man Utd have at home.

The last three games involving West Brom this season have ended 1-0.

Leicester only average 0.7 shots per game more than Sheffield Utd.

Leicester and Sheffield Utd have never met on a Sunday.

Arsenal have never been beaten by Spurs on a Sunday in December.

Wolves have only scored one goal in the last six games v Liverpool in December

Brighton’s xG is almost four goals more than Southampton’s despite being ten places lower.
