Fantasy Premier League Fixture Difficulty Rating – 2020-21 FPL Gameweek 1

The excitement of a new Premier League and Fantasy Premier League season is here, and before it kicks off and those FPL teams are sorted it may help to know what the fixtures look like for all clubs, so our Fantasy Premier League Fixture Difficulty returns for the 2020-21 FPL season.

Each week our Premier League Fixture Difficulty Rating will supply updated information on the fixture difficulty for upcoming games, and usually just in timer to make those FPL decisions.

Throughout the season we will use a mixture of table position, form, and historical H2H to determine how hard or easy each team’s games are going to be in theory. For the first few weeks of this season we will be using 2019-20 season table, and post lockdown form. Each H2H both Home and Away is analysed and rated between 1 to 10.

We haven’t adjusted the two games featuring Manchester clubs being deferred.

So please accept our Fantasy Premier League Fixture Difficulty , and return throughout the season before each gameweek.

Premier League Fixture Difficulty Rating GW1 – First Three Games

Premier League Fixture Difficulty Rating GW1 - First Three Games

  • Crystal Palace were only behind Norwich in the last months of the post lockdown season, finishing the last eight games with seven straight losses and a draw. They have the hardest first three game average according to us.\
  • The two Manchester clubs have among the easiest first three games, but not forgetting that their first games have been postponed.
  • Clubs unlucky enough to get Liverpool or Man City first are up the top of the difficulty rating, but will they be the nightmare fixture in 2020-21?

Premier League Fixture Difficulty Rating GW1 – First Six Games

The first three games ratings is important, but a good FPL player is usually looking further ahead, so have the first six games as well.

Premier League Fixture Difficulty Rating GW1 - First Six Games

  • Fulham seem to have the best early run of the promoted sides, which gives them every chance to be less awful than last time, and perhaps that means the much debated Mitrovic inclusion could be worth a risk.
  • The big sides from last season all have relatively easy runs to start the season
  • Two of last year’s strugglers top the six game difficulty rating. But West Ham do have some interesting FPL players to choose from and did look quite good at times in the post lockdown section.  Aston Villa have at least one great FPL choice, if he stays.

Promoted Sides First Ten Games

  • Fulham have the easier run on paper to begin with, but after a tough first few games, GW 5-10 looks OK for Championship winners Leeds Utd.
  • West Brom will go under the radar for quite a while in 2020-21, and there opening run seems neither too bad or great.
