NORWICH v WEST HAM

Why Norwich can win

Despite having a poor record against West Ham in general, there were quite a few draws, and so when you look at the H2H for Norwich at home West Ham have won just once in 22 matches.’

Excluding cups, West Ham’s last win at Norwich in the league was 1973, which is closer to the second last time London held the Olympics in 1948 than 2012.

Why West Ham can win.

Norwich have lost all five games since the resumption and have scored just one goal. West Ham’s record is 1-1-3 with five goals scored.

Norwich have the worst home record in the league with 15 points from 17 matches at Carrow Road. But they have won two of their last six at home. West Ham haven’t won any of their last eight on the road. This would make them the qual second worst team on the road. Norwich are the worst.

Newcastle have won just one of their last nine games at Watford.

Newcastle have won their last two away games against teams in the bottom half of the table.

Barely Interesting Stat:

Draw (8/17) is the most common result in the H@H for these teams at Watford. Wins are six for Watford and three to Newcastle.

Southampton sit equal third in the last six away form, behind Wolves and Burnley.

Only Chelsea have scored more away goals in their last six away games.

Barely Interesting Stat:

The Saints haven’t beaten Man Utd since 2016, with eight games in between. That win was the second in two years of games at Old Trafford.
