It almost feels like non stop football at the moment, which is fine by us, and to accompany this feast of Premier League action is our Premier League Predictions Week 34.

Each week our preview includes just enough quick info and barely interesting stats to help you decide a winner. Or to provide just enough barely interesting information leading into the big midweek of football.

Chelsea have won only one of their last six away.

Chelsea have won the last midweek game between these sides, but none of the preceding six midweek clashes before that @ Crystal Palace.

Why Chelsea can win.

Chelsea scoring follows a pattern for Tuesday games – (most recent first) – 2-1-2-1 and they’ve only won one of them. (2 draws)

Crystal Palace have yet to take a point at home to a top six side.

Crystal Palace have the worst xG of 30 goals, and they are underperforming by two goals.

Why Watford can win

Watford have won their only game at home to a bottom six side.

Norwich haven’t won any of the last five league games on a Tuesday.

Norwich have scored as many goals away this season as points – six.

Norwich have never beaten Watford at Vicarage Road in a midweek league fixture – five losses and five draws.

These teams have only met three times in the Premier League era. Watford have scored two goals in each game, and won two of them.

Man City have won ten in a row against Newcastle at home in the league. The last time Newcastle won at Man City was 16 games ago in the year 2000.

Earlier in the season Man Utd weren’t very good against the bottom sides.

Why Man Utd can win.

They look the best attacking unit in the Premier League at the moment.

Aston Villa haven’t beaten Man Utd since 2009 – the record is 11 losses and 4 draws.

Add another decade for Aston Villa’s last win over Man Utd at home. The last victory for Villa at Villa against Man Utd was 1999 – 16 losses and 5 draws.

That last win v Man Utd at Villa was in the League Cup, you have to go back to 1995 for Aston Villa’s last win in the league at home.

Even further back was Aston Villa’s last midweek win at home to Man Utd – 1989. In the five games in between Aston Villa scored just once.

Aston Villa have won just 3 / 49 EPL matches v Man Utd.

Manchester Utd have the longest unbeaten run with nine games without loss. Aston Villa have the longest streak without winning – nine games.

Man Utd have conceded the fewest goals since Jan 1. And the equal fewest away from home since Jan 1 with Wolves.

This will be the first ever meeting between these sides on a Thursday, every other day has seen a match.
