Alternative NRL Round 8 Tips Method – Happiness

If you are like us, and spend too much time on NRL tipping, only to get a lousy three or four correct, then we offer you our Alternative NRL Round 8 Tips.

Perhaps you could just do less tipping, so you get less NRL tips wrong. Much like how a certain President suggests for other things. By the way, he and others are nominated for June 2020 Jerk of the Month awards.

Back onto the tipping, instead of allowing the competition admin to give you the away teams for when you don’t care about who you tip, why not take on board our weekly Alternative NRL Tipping method?

Each week there will be a new theme, and occasionally it will have nothing to do with rugby league. Just the way we like it.

This week’s Alternative NRL Round 8 Tips are all about happiness. After last week’s anger towards the Broncos appearing to laugh after losing. And the fans angry responses.

Our theory is that a happier area makes a happier team, and thus a winning team.

Enough of that for now, your Alternative NRL Round 8 Tipping guide awaits.

Alternative NRL Round 8 Tips – Distance from Melbourne

METHOD

We found two recent articles (this one and this one) that explored which part of Australia was the happiest and unhappiest.

So we ranked which team was happier or more unhappier, the happier side wins.

In the case of not featuring in either the top ten happy or unhappy, we class them as neutral.

In the event neither side’s area featured, it seems the further west and north you go the unhappier you are. So the more extreme is unhappier and the other tip gets the team.

One particular game got different treatment….

Season Progress:

R4 – Full Moon – 4/8
R5 – Better Coaching Record  – 6/8
R6 – Neutral Ground Performance – 4/8
R7 – Distance from Melbourne – 4/8
