Still keeping your social distance? Well for those looking for something to do, our Sunday Sports Quiz returns, and this time it is all about F1 Cigarette sponsorship.
With most of the world staying at home, and for a health problem that is worse or receives more tutt-tutts than smoking, we think it is a great time to do a quiz on F1 Cigarette sponsorship, and some of the iconic liveries on the cars they sponsored.
The 1970s to 1990s saw the boom period for tobacco money, with most of the grid receiving funds from cigarettes.
And that era saw some of the most distinctive and treasured looking cars in F1 history. John Player Special Lotus, Malboro McLaren, Rothamns Williams, and West Zakspeed.
For the record, our favourite was the late 1980’s McLaren with the distinctive red and white colour scheme. A great looking car, driven by the greats.
Of course these days a smoker is seen as being worse than a neo-Nazi by some groups of people, and currently there is no direct F1 Cigarette sponsorship, although Ferrari do try subliminally to feature one of their partners.
We say bugger the smoking nay-sayers, and have taken some of the more interesting cars and fact on F1 Cigarette sponsorship, and have produced another of our weekly Sunday Sports quizzes.
We hope you enjoy the Gurgler Sunday Sports Quiz is not a guaranteed good time, just time.
