Hand the title to Liverpool, and get Bournemouth, Aston Villa and Norwich ready for the Championship as we have our 2019-20 Premier League Season Results Predictions done.

With the ultimate party-pooper Covid-19 halting football all around the world, and no certainty that it will return to finish the 2019-20 Premier League Season, we decided to work out a way of predicting all of the remaining games to ultimately sort it all out.

How did we do it you ask, well we got ourselves a bunch of statistics from the 2019-20 season, and the H2H record of the teams playing each other, all using average points per game for each category and the team who had the better points per game “won” our hypothetical match.

Games where the average points were within 10% were classed as draws.

No surprise that Liverpool end up on top, and our SuperComputer3000 has them not losing another game, which is great for a computer to say, but one tends to think that there might be another loss or draw in them. If they play. 

But what else from our 2019-20 Premier League Season Results Predictions?

Manchester City end up a comfortable second, well ahead of what we see as a very interesting race for third place. Of course the race for fourth being interesting hinges on the Man City CAS court case.

Further down our machine has big Mourinho just in front of ginger Mourinho, and with Harry Kane rumoured to be strolling out of Spurs, it could be a peak for Tottenham before the ultimate and predictable full Mourinho meltdown.

We have decent progress for two teams looking as relegation fodder at the start of the season in Newcastle and Southampton.

And our relegation battle is at its most interesting around week 33 and 34. The bottom three looking clear cut after that. Jack Grealish’s recent indiscretion has not been factored into the SuperComputer3000.

The noticeable thing here is the charge of Manchester United up the ladder to a sensational third place. Most likely on the back of a returning Rashford combining with their super new buy Bruno Fernandes. Leicester just hold onto a well deserved top four spot, and Chelsea edge closer to Leicester without passing them, and are overtaken by Man Utd.

There is then a distinct gap to the next Europa League bunch with Wolves eventually getting the sixth spot, with a pile of draws to end their season due to fatigue of winning the Europa League.

Arsenal fly home late to beat Sheffield Utd on goal difference. Burnley finish the season strongly to cross the 50 point barrier.

Norwich are relegated, and apparently the SuperComputer3000 doesn’t think another win is coming. Pity, we liked the way they went about it this season. And hope Pukki finds a home for our FPL side next season.

The relegation battle gets interesting around weeks 33 and 34, but key wins for Brighton, Watford and West Ham keep them just above the bottom three.

Aston Villa draw too many games, and Bournemouth have a bad losing run to send them down to the Championship.
