With the first round of the new NRL completed, it is time for The Gurgler to revive our best of for the week with our NRL Team of the Week Round 1.
With rugby league close to the only game in town and few other sporting distractions, it was an easy chore to catch up with all eight games, and so we have put that to good use and selected a bunch of players who we thought stood out.
It wasn’t all about getting the best 17 players from Supercoach points, nor just looked at a few data field, the Team of the Week is a combination of those but with our keen eye on the little and big things that data doesn’t always do justice.

For the Team of the Week Points (T.O.W. Pts) we have assigned an extra few points to the best of the best. These points will be tallied up for our Gurgler NRL Player and Team of the Season.
