It’s not a bad guide for the top players, not exclusive to picking a captain.
You think it would be easy without Liverpool players to choose from, but with 2nd v 3rd and 4th v 5th the games of choice this weekend it is hard work. Hopefully our stats below help.
WE SAY YES
Rashford is not a bad shout – topping our charts and Man Utd are playing Watford. A team they have beaten 15 of the the last 16 matches. But Man Utd have not been great this season against the lower ranked teams.
Vardy is a given, and Man City’s defence isn’t the league’s best right now.
KDB rounds out our top three, and hit top form last weekend. Although Leicester’s defence will prove much harder to crack than Arsenal.
WE SAY NO
Raheem Sterling’s stats don’t look great, and Jesus only seems to score away.
FPL UNDERPERFORMERS / OVERPERFORMERS
Every year there will be Emperors of Disappointment and Kings of the Surprise and this season has proven no different.
A quick and nasty way of checking this our check of total points against cost.
No surprise a certain Sheffield United “defender” leads the way for top value. He is joined by a few team mates. Leicester defenders fil lthe next two spots, the Turkish Delight Soyuncu the big mover.
Vardy makes the list despite his cost.
Down the other end of the boat are the under achievers. To determine this we did the same math, but set a minimum of 20 FPL points scored.
A few weeks ago Dele Alli topped this list, now he is at the top of the form charts. The only surprise of Ozil being the top underperformer is that he qualified for the minimum 20 points.

TOP 20 PLAYERS SELECTED
Vardy remains on top, and why wouldn’t he be, followed bu Lundstram who we are always surprised when he is under 50%.
The second graph is the movements within this top 20 group. Rashford in, and Mane out. Mane out doesn’t make sense as Liverpool are only missing one week, and Mane is one of FPL’s best so far this season.
De Bruyne has become a bit of a Yo-Yo FPL selection, we say hold until the end of the season.
THIS WEEK’S TOP INS AND OUTS
Rashford is the main man this week, as Man Utd to smash Watford, although after last weekend’s performance against Liverpool and Man Utd’s dreadful record against lower teams this year who knows.
Jack Grealish is still popular despite a missed penalty.
Jimenez out is a strange one, with Wolves looking good it seems a little rash to get rid, perhaps most of them are jumping on Rashford wagon.

Not long ago Man City took over from Liverpool as top dog, and now they have been passed by the Foxes who have almost overtaken Liverpool now.
