Fantasy Premier League FPL Preview Gameweek 1 – Quick Round Up
Before we go on with our Fantasy Premier League FPL Preview Gameweek 2, how about a quick check up on last weekend. It may help you this weekend.
THEMES:
- Liverpool and Man City looking class again, so it is a matter of which Liverpool defenders and whether you can afford Sterling and Salah. Those who can have profited first week.
- Liverpool may look to be going on the attack more this season, so even Van Dijk is now a serious point scorer.
- Norwich will be worth following after a good second half showing v Liverpool.
- Alisson’s injury hurt those who took the wrong premium keeper, but is it worth doubling down on the bad luck and taking Adrian for a short term?
- Sheffield United look solid and full of value.
- The 0-0 draws were very annoying.
- Time to rethink Bournemouth assets?
- Is Brighton this season’s Watford?
- Were Man Utd that good? Or Chelsea really that bad?
- VAR sucks
HEROES OF THE WEEK
RAHEEM STERLING / MO SALAH – starting the season where they left off.
JERK OF THE WEEK
PAUL POGBA – Of course he assists and scores a load of points when you presume he is either off to another club or not interested like the end of last season.
VAR / LAWS OF THE GAME– Slowing up the game to the stage of being almost NFL.
Fantasy Premier League FPL Preview Gameweek 2 – Captain Choices
This week’s Captain choices seems just that little bit more difficult this week.
Liverpool’s are away to Southampton where they have a great recent record..
Manchester City’s have the much harder game at home to Spurs.
Arsenal face Burnley who rarely beat them, especially away, and one of their strikers has three braces against them.
Here is our table of stats heading into the FPL Preview Gameweek 2.
WE SAY YES
Aubameyang or Salah – stats speak for themselves.
WE SAY NO
Sadio Mane – Former Southampton player has 0 Goals in 5 matches v Southampton means a no from us.
THE LEFT FIELD OPTION
Like a Gluten Free or Vegan option on a menu, we offer up an alternative to the main meals aka the big six teams.
Gylfi Sigurdsson – is not one this week as his record v Watford is woeful – 10 Games – 0 Goals/Assists.
Leicester Midfield – Perez, Maddison, Tillemans – Given how Chelsea were carved up for their goals last weekend, perhaps a great attacking side like Leicester might have some fun.
Fantasy Premier League FPL Preview – Difficulty Factor
We have previous released a new method of determining the difficulty of each team’s games. Based on last year’s form, table position, relative form to opposition, and head to head record, we have a score of 1 (Easy to 10 (Hard).
