MOISE KEAN – Everton (from Juventus)
FORWARD
COST: TBC – Taken by: TBC
A real superstar in the making, and if he continues on from his golden run from late last year, he will be right at the top of FPL point scoring charts. And it is hard to believe that a player who looked the best future prospect at Juve is heading for Everton, and not a bigger EPL/European club. Guess that FFP works after all.
A bargain for Everton at GBP30M, as he is rated at 40M Euros via the excellent website TransferMarkt, And we are waiting to see what the value for FPL is. But hopefully it is not too high. If it 7.0 or under it is worth a shot, anything over is still worth considering. He has to potential to outscore someone like at least Jamie Vardy who costs 9.0.
Whilst he’ll be a risk, he is also one of Italy’s great young prospects, and has stepped up on every occasion so far in his career. Including his national side. He’ll be given more star treatment at Everton than behind Ronaldo, and should enjoy a little less racism in the Premier League.
And Everton do have a really good start to the season fixtures-wise. He could be an Everton legend before December.
OUR VERDICT – Great, great, great.

NICHOLAS PEPE (Lyon to Arsenal)
MIDFIELD
COST 9.5 – Taken by – 2.8%
We originally thought he was off to Manchester Utd, so had to hastily change our Differentials for Arsenal once it was officially sealed that Pepe was heading to Arsenal. A club with an outstanding record with French based players.
Like with any European transfer into the EPL there is always a risk, especially in a competition like Ligue 1 where PSG dominates so much, but you can’t deny the sheer bulk of goals (22) and assists (11) last season with Lille, as they secured best of the rest in France and a Champions League spot. He’s no flat track bully either, scoring two goals and two assists against the might of PSG last season. The last match was when Lille beat PSG 5-1 inspired by Pepe, when PSG were looking to seal the title.
Will he play for Arsenal every week, you would like to think so. The question is how that affects the rest of the squad, mainly the two front men Lacazette and

SEBASTIEN HALLER (Eintracht Frankfurt to West Ham)
FORWARD
COST 7.5 – Taken by 5.0%
Quite the upgrade going from a Frankfurt to a Ham, and a lot are waiting to see if he is going to be an upgrade on the departed Arnautovic or the incumbent Chicarito.
As with Pepe above, you can’t argue with the contributions last season in the Bundesliga. 29 Games – 15 goals and 9 assists in the League, and throw in another 5 goals and 3 assists in the Europa League where Frankfurt went very deep into the competition.
He has scored double figure goals + assist in every season (Bundesliga and Dutch Eredivise) since 2014/15, so there is a long record of scoring by Haller. And he was the fifth highest rated player on Who Scored from the Bundesliga last season.
The only worry is not whether he will play, but more that any big name West Ham signing are very hit and miss. Often in the same season.
Need to compare against Kean for value, judging potential v proven goal scorer.
Worth noting that Haller averaged just 1.9 shots on goal per game last season, so quality over quantity then. Given that West Ham won’t dominate possession in many of their games, it’s probably a good thing.

JOELINTON (Hoffenheim to Newcastle)
FORWARD
COST 6.0 – Taken by 2.3%
Following on from Sebastien Haller is another goal scorer from the Bundesliga heading for a non big six team.
One wonders why Newcastle decided to splash the cash after Benitez had left, as the manager was their best value for money contributor of all. But back to FPL.
But the lack of Rafa might well affect FPL, and two great point scorers in Rondon and Perez have left, and a future FPL wizard in Longstaff swill leave sooner or later. And is Steve Bruce going to unlock the potential FPL firecracker Miguel Almiron?
Onto Joelinton then, and the Brazilian scored seven and assisted seven last season for Hoffenheim, which fits in nicely at his team scored 70 goals for the season.
Comparing to the above Haller, Joelinton is down in 31st in the WhoScored ratings for the Bundesliga.
He is quite a bit cheaper than some of the other options here, so one for the bargain hunters.
Our verdict: Could be great, but Newcastle this season – Meh.

TANGUY NDOMBELE (Lyon to Spurs)
MIDFIELD
COST 6.0 – Taken By 4.1%
Finishing off our Top 5 FPL European Transfers is the big Spurs off season recruit from Lyon.
Not a goal scoring machine like the others on the list here, but a decent number of assists.
Whilst the numbers don’t quite stack up, one only has to think about his performances against Man City in the Champions League to wonder if he is more of a big time players, and that joining the bright lights of the EPL will suit him. Two of his three goals for the season came in Europe.
How he fits into the side is a question, although if Eriksen leaves before the end of the transfer window, it could
