FOR THE 2019-20 SEASON PREVIEW FOR WEEK 3 – PLEASE CLICK HERE
There’s a lot of talk about Jose Mourinho and his third season syndrome, so as the 2018-2019 English Premier League heads into the third week, it is time for our Premier League Predictions Week 3and to see if we have a third week syndrome.
Each week (and the occasional midweek) we will bring our unique look at the EPL, starting with this week’s Premier League Predictions Week 3 and then all the other things we are looking forward to.
But anyone can offer up predictions, each week we will put our Premier League predictions up against a guest tipster, not necessarily a person, but based on a statistic or ridiculous idea which has varying links to football. Like BBC’s Lawro vs Somebody, but better. Arguably.
Like this week for our Premier League Predictions Week 3 we put our selections up against the change in team value from the end of last season to the current value.
We’ll also offer up a few other bits and pieces for the second weekend of the Premier League.
Premier League Predictions Week 3 Gurgler v Red Cards from past Five Seasons
Background: Since the there were three Red Cards served up last weekend, we decided to look into Red Cards and use them as a way of picking our opposition tips for this weekend. We say for the purposes of tipping that fewer Red Cards is better, so that team gets the tip. We have some stats on Red Cards below, and they do prove that Red lead to losses more than other results.
But we have gone back through five seasons of Red Cards, and there are some slightly interesting stats on Red Cards, so stick with us.
The Gurgler’s selections are based on a mixture of listening to multiple podcasts and reading way too many websites, added with ignorance to all of that with our own thoughts.
