If you have visited us before, you’ll know for all of the Group Stage matches we have gone to the minimal of effort, so you can go to even less to keep up to date. We hope that has worked out for you.
With the next round of Group stage matches kicking off, why would we change the format.
We throw in some barely interesting stats that you impress the many people in your life at work, home, or in the nearest Post Office Box
The preview will be followed by a review of the match afterwards with the same who cares attitude that you have come here for.
So time to get into the second round of fixtures with a look forward to the Australia v Denmark World Cup Action.

Stay up – once again you are entering un-Australian territory if you are not up for this one live. Unless you are running late from a night of greyhound racing.
The story…
Socceroos really need to win this game to give themselves the best possible chance of making it into the knockout phase. Australia did very well against the big money French side, providing a very tough hitout, and were reasonably unlucky not to get a point out of it. Denmark could be a side that Australia could beat, if they can shut down Christian Eriksen, and they play a lot better than the last time they met a Scandinavian side when Norway blew us away. Hopes are higher than before the stsrt of the World Cup after the first game. Denmark meanwhile got the job done against Peru, but it could be argued that Peru impressed more. The solitary goal wasn’t bad though, and that deadly efficiency is something Australia doesn’t have in attack. Well, from anywhere other than the penalty spot.

Players to Watch
Christian Eriksen – might be obvious but is there really anyone else who can capture the attention from Denmark
Tim Cahill – still on Cahill watch, and we’d love to see him get the chance to score at a fourth World Cup. We may need it.
Our Bold Prediction…what we think will happen….
Australia 1-0
What will probably happen….
An Australian error at the back will be latched onto by Denmark who will punish us early in the second half, and they score again late as we chase the World Cup saving goal.
World Cup Preview HAIKU
Socceroos were brave
Win now needed to progress
Hope not so great Danes.
Bluff your way to World Cup expertise
No team at the World Cup has drawn more games over the past two years than Australia. We have also only won 2 games in total and this is our fifth World Cup. Australia did lose fewer games in Qualifying than Denmark. For both countries, the leading nation where their footballers play is England.
IF the teams were cars they’d be….
Australia – a trusty tough Ute. Perhaps an old Hilux.
Denmark – a Saab, slightly luxurious, very Scandinavian.
