Get up – it could be a cracker after Russia’s showing in the first game. And there should be some Mo.
The story…
After Russia surprised everyone and flogged Saudi Arabia 5-0 in the first game, and Egypt risked not playing Mo Salah instead of risking Mo Salah, this game is now much more important than it first looked before the World Cup started.
It looks as if this is must win for Egypt, as a draw will mean they will have match Russia’s margin over Saudi Arabia, or hope Uruguay can smash the hosts. All of that includes Egypt beating Saudi Arabia too of course.
We will also see if Russia’s first up was a one off. The goals they scored were great, but was it more down to the opposition weakness than Russian brilliance. Probably a bit of both.
