Netta and Bishop Michael Curry Win Unsung Hero of the Month May 2018

The Votes are in, and Chicken rapping Israeli Eurovision sensation Netta and the man who made the recent Royal Wedding Bishop Michael Curry are the joint winners of our unsung Hero of the Month for 2018.

Both Netta and Bishop Michael Curry will likely disappear as quickly as they have appeared, and that’s exactly why we love them, and why they are deserving Unsung Heroes of the Month for May 2018.

It only took two minutes of listening to Netta’s entry pre-Eurovision to know it was going to be a solid gold winner, and a number 1 around the world within 3 weeks. Both have happened, but instead of patting ourselves on the back, we simply nod our acknowledgement towards the Israeli superstar. Whether she turns herself into a world wide phenomenon like ABBA is yet to be seen, but we back her to be bigger than the Beatles.

Even bigger than The Beatles, or at least Elton John and George Clooney for an hour or so was the US addition to the Royal Wedding Bishop Michael Curry. He tried and succeeded to enliven proceedings at the Royal Wedding – and in a good way not like some of Meghan Markle’s family.

The others in the running still deserved their nominations like English Football team Accrington Stanley and Gurgler favourite Willie Minoga, but it is hard to compete against a potential hero with worldwide exposure and admiration.

So we salute our heroes of the month for May 2018 – Netta and Bishop Michael Curry – with hope this isn’t the last we hear of them.
