EPL Matchday 26 Predictions – Gurgler v Valentine’s Day

Here are The Gurgler’s EPL Matchday 27 Predictions and as ever, we have our weekly tipping competition against a different opponent, and this week we put our tips up against Valentine’s Day.

Before we do, here’s our mini preview of EPL Matchday 27.

THINGS WERE LOOKING FORWARD TO FOR THE EPL MATCHDAY 27 AHEAD

FTA GAME in AUSTRALIA – SPURS v ARSENAL
Early Saturday Night Kick Off – SBS TV)

Premium all London derby between two sides who don’t like eac other much, and are battling for final Champion’s League spot. What else do you need?

LIVERPOOL v SPURS

Could have been a more interesting match before the Mahrez failed transfer. Either way. If it had of happened it would be interesting to see how he went. If it hadn’t and he didn’t sook like a 2 year old, he could have really shown Manchester City what they were missing. His post-transfer window attitude will likely cost him a transfer to big, big club.

NEXT CANDIDATE FOR SACK RACE

Chelsea boss Conte must be the next to get the arse.

THREE BOLD PREDICTIONS FOR EPL MATCHDAY 27

0-0 SPECIAL
West Ham v Watford

PLAYER OF THE WEEKEND

Mkhitaryan (Arsenal)

SURPRISE OF THE WEEKEND

Mahrez to burst onto the field at Manchester.

GURGLER’S EPL TIPPING COMPETITION

Each week we will put our tips up against an opponent, just like Lawro’s tips on the BBC Football website. But instead of having famous comedian and musicians we’ve never heard of, we put our tips up against a different type of opponent.

We determine tips based on some ridiculous premise or statistic, and we then see if arse truly does beat class.

This week’s opponent tips are based on Valentine’s Day spend around the UK.

OUR EPL MATCHDAY 27 PREDICTIONS

Onto our selections for the round ahead, with added scores to take on Lawro from the BBC.   Our bold predictions for score are alongside our weekly tips. We’re getting worse and are not far off giving ourselves the dreaded vote of confidence.

THIS WEEK’S OPPONENT:

EPL MATCHDAY 27 PREDICTIONS v VALENTINE’S DAY

The big romantic day of the year is almost upon us, and nothing really says Valentine’s Day like a weekend of EPL fixtures. Stuff the roses, chocolates and sky writing, Valentine’s Day is all about football.

As such, we have determined a way of using Valentine’s Day to choose the winner of EPL Matchday 27 fixtures.

It is reasonably basic too, a pre-requisite for us, we have worked out which city spends on average more for Valentine’s Day than the other side’s city. Simples. The city/side who has spent the most, means happier partners, who then have happier gift givers, which then means they’re more likely to go to the football guilt free, and be happier, and cheer their team to victory.

All the information comes from the site listed here.

Here are the EPL Matchday 27 Tips based on the biggest spend on Valentine’s Day by City. Average spend in GBP in brackets.

DRAW – Spurs (43.3) v Arsenal (43.3)
BURNLEY (43.1) to beat Swansea (37.86)
