Here are The Gurgler’s EPL Matchday 25 Predictions and nothing says the middle of summer like EPL Midweek Football.
Wednesday and Thursdays are usually as boring as watching a bunch of celebrities moan their way through the African jungle, but with a full book of midweek EPL fixtures, the midweek is looking up.
As ever, we have our weekly tipping competition against a different opponent, and this week we put our tips up against selections based on the midweek form of all the teams this season so far.
Before we do, here’s our mini preview of EPL Matchday 25.
THINGS WERE LOOKING FORWARD TO FOR THE EPL MATCHDAY 25 AHEAD
FTA GAME in AUSTRALIA – SPURS v MAN UTD
Early Morning Kick Off – Thursday Morning – SBS TV)
Harry Kane saved Spurs from being knocked out by Newport County in the FA Cup, will they be able to resist Man Utd with their new signing Alexis Sanchez and his millions, or a very large bus.
HUDDERSFIELD v LIVERPOOL
After two shock losses to Swansea and West Brom, Liverpool will surely turn it on against Huddersfield. Or is it the start of a genuine slump?
ADEBAYO AKINFENWA TO CHELSEA
With a whole list of names being linked to Chelsea, including Peter Crouch and Andy Carroll, it is clear they want someone strong in the air.
Fans and friends of Adebayo Akinfenwa will know there’s no one better in the air, and despite his age, and experience limited to Leagues One and Two, he would still be the man, and a great story for the EPL.
Who wouldn’t love a little Beast in their EPL.
NEXT CANDIDATE FOR SACK RACE
Watford became the latest club to give their boss the arse, and they kindly blamed Everton for tempted their current boss away after less than half a season. A crap run of form ensued, as did the boot. Thankfully a replacement was a day away.
Bad news for Southampton, as they seem the most likely for the next chop.
THINGS WERE NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO FOR THE EPL MATCHDAY 25 AHEAD
NEWCASTLE v BURNLEY
As dull as a game could look on paper.
THREE BOLD PREDICTIONS FOR EPL MATCHDAY 25
0-0 SPECIAL – Newcastle v Burnley
PLAYER OF THE WEEKEND – Raheem Sterling
SURPRISE RESULT OF THE WEEKEND – Draw – Swansea v Arsenal
GURGLER’S EPL TIPPING COMPETITION
Each week we will put our tips up against an opponent, just like Lawro’s tips on the BBC Football website. But instead of having famous comedian and musicians we’ve never heard of, we put our tips up against a different type of opponent.
We determine tips based on some ridiculous premise or statistic, and we then see if arse truly does beat class.
This week’s opponent tips are based on the midweek form of all the teams so far in 2017/2018.
OUR EPL MATCHDAY 25 PREDICTIONS
Onto our selections for the round ahead, with added scores to take on Lawro from the BBC. Our bold predictions for score are alongside our weekly tips. 2/10 from last week is double the amount of correct tips from the week before.
