This week saw a Football League Club become a talking point on social media as the buzz around the new Leeds United Logo grew.
Many funnily compared the new Leeds United logo to Gavison, and Jim’s Mowing, and so they should, as it appears another case of sporting businesses thinking way too hard, or not thinking enough.
Sometimes sporting organisations get far too clever for themselves and reinvent a sporting logo that wasn’t really needed, and the end result is a pathetic corporate logo that has no attachment for fans, and the business side is inflated to the max.
We’ve previously had this gripe with the New Australian Open Logo. And this new Leeds United Logo is another chapter of white shoe marketing rubbish.
Unless it is a giant hoax to stir social media, which makes them suck even more.
But is the new Leeds United logo the worst of all time?
Time to go back through the best/worst examples of when a sporting team’s logo has been changed for the worst. Or that the logo sucked in the first place.
