Here are The Gurgler’s EPL Matchday 24 Predictions and this week with the kiddies heading back to school or to scholl for the first time, we put our tips up against a school themed opponent for the UK.
After an absolute shocker last week, we are looking for redemption for EPL Matchday 24 with a fresh batch of predictions.
Before we do, here’s our mini preview of EPL Matchday 24.
THINGS WERE LOOKING FORWARD TO FOR THE EPL MATCHDAY 24 AHEAD
FTA GAME in AUSTRALIA – BRIGHTON v CHELSEA
Early Game – Saturday Night – SBS TV)
More Chelsea on FTA, and given how dull they can be on the road it might not be the greatest spectacle. But for tightarses without Optus its still good viewing.
WEST HAM v BOURNEMOUTH
Should be plenty of goals in this one on recent form, West Ham scored 4 last weekend and Bournemouth have scored two per game the last three.
MAN CITY v NEWCASTLE
How do Manchester City back up after their first loss? Probably by thrashing Newcastle 7-0. Sadly for Newcastle still no new owner.
ALEXIS SANCHEZ FINDING A HOME
Hard to avoid Transfer talk at the moment, but the Sanchez talk is more boring than usual. After sulking for half a season he and his agent are going to be rewarded with a huge bump of cash when/if he finally moves.
NEXT CANDIDATE FOR SACK RACE
With Stoke being the last team to replace their head man this week, the attention for sack race fans turns to other clubs. Problem is most of the clubs at the bottom have already made the change.
THINGS WERE NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO FOR THE EPL MATCHDAY 24 AHEAD
BURNLEY v MAN UTD
A team Manchester United should beat easily but probably won’t, and a 0-0 looms.
THREE BOLD PREDICTIONS FOR EPL MATCHDAY 24
0-0 SPECIAL – Stoke v Huddersfield
PLAYER OF THE WEEKEND – Riyad Mahrez
SURPRISE RESULT OF THE WEEKEND – Crystal Palace to beat Arsenal
GURGLER’S EPL TIPPING COMPETITION
Each week we will put our tips up against an opponent, just like Lawro’s tips on the BBC Football website. But instead of having famous comedian and musicians we’ve never heard of, we put our tips up against a different type of opponent.
We determine tips based on some ridiculous premise or statistic, and we then see if arse truly does beat class.
This week’s opponent tips are based on the ratings of the school closest to each team’s home ground.
OUR EPL MATCHDAY 24 PREDICTIONS
Onto our selections for the round ahead, with added scores to take on Lawro from the BBC. Our bold predictions for score are alongside our weekly tips. 1/10 last week is almost as bad as it gets, and improvement is needed.

EPL MATCHDAY 24 PREDICTIONS USING SCHOOL RATINGS FOR SCHOOL CLOSEST TO HOME GROUNDS OF CLUBS
Kids are getting ready to go back to school next week and beyond around Australia, so we’ve found worse excuses to use a statistic for picking EPL tips to go up against.
We have found a website (www..gov.uk/school-performance-tables) that gives UK Schools a rating (1,2,3,Null) with 1 being the best and 3 down the other end. We then put in the exact address of each stadium to get the school which is the closest to each ground.
There were a lot of twos, and so our opponent thinks it will be draws a plenty this weekend. Given a look at the fixtures he could be right.
1 was best, 3 lowest, ranking below in brackets if not 2.
DRAW – Brighton v Chelsea
DRAW – Arsenal v Crystal Palace
DRAW – Burnley v Man Utd
WEST BROM (1) to beat Everton
WATFORD (1) to beat Leicester
DRAW – Stoke v Huddersfield
DRAW – West Ham v Bournemouth
MAN CITY (1) to beat Newcastle
SPURS (1) to beat Southampton
LIVERPOOL (2) to beat Swansea (NA)
