Time for some more midweek UK Football, just the way we like it. Something to spring yourself out of bed for at 4:30 ish in the morning in Australia. Race out to the TV and watch…..uh, OK, so we don’t get to watch it anymore thanks to the lack of a deal between EFL/Foxtel/BeIn Sports. Sucks.
There are some interesting match ups to follow along with on the BBC or Guardian websites. At least we have that.
The second round sees the first of the EPL sides join the competition, and some of those have already started off their EPL season in ordinary fashion. And are primed for an upset.
But who knows what side they’ll put out, or indeed if the potential team that could upset them will take it seriously either. No one seems to care about the League Cup at this stage. Not even the EFL who have scheduled the third round, where the big EPL sides join, at 4:45am UK time. Not content with wrecking the Football League Trophy, they are on their way with the League Cup.
We take the League Cup seriously, and love a little bit of midweek football to break up the boredom of a working week. And as usual we think we are clever enough to pick all the correct results. So here goes.
