State of Origin is great, and so is the NRL at this time of year, and we are making sure our NRL Round 12 Preview is deserving of the quality round that it is. So…..
OK, poor joke over, but that is exactly what the NRL rounds are over State of Origin period. A joke. And it’s not just one round, we have plenty more weeks of this rubbish. And the loyal reader of this website will have many more weeks of complaining about it. No other competition devalues itself for so long like the NRL.
The first up serving of Round 12 shows why State of Origin should be moved to standalone Sunday, and moved next season. 8 Teams who have offered up 19 players for the 2017 Origin series opener. Great. And how many of the Origin players who are scheduled to play a few days afterwards will be “rested”.
