All Aboard the All New Gurgler Brisbane Tourist Bus – The BNEXpress

Sad new to hear about the demise of the Brisbane Explorer tourist bus after two years in existence, but never fear, coming soon is the All New Gurgler Brisbane Tourist Bus – The BNEXpress.

Some say that the Brisbane Explorer was too expensive, that the city is too boring for a Brisbane Tourist Bus, or that the route didn’t cover enough of Brisbane. We have solved all of those problems with the BNEXpress.

We are just in the final stages of getting the fleet of All New Gurgler Brisbane Tourist Buses – The BNEXpress – on the road, but thought we’d share what will be on offer soon.

Below he have outlined the Route, some special Theme Nights to make every day an occasion on the BNEXpress, and other inclusions which will make the All New Gurgler Brisbane Tourist Bus not only a proud ambassador to Brisbane Tourism, but a fun place for locals to hang.

 

All New Gurgler Brisbane Tourist Bus – THE ROUTE

All journeys start and finish at the memorial site for the now defunct Doboy Station, but feel free to jump on anywhere and jump off anytime. For the low cost of just $17.

DOBOY STATION – one of the spiritual homes of The Gurgler and forgotten Brisbane hero.

TOOMBUL SHOPPING CENTRE – see where the Granville Train disaster movie was shot in the bottom carpark.

BISHOP PARK – Get a taste of local rugby league by having a sideline conversion. One per passenger.

GOLDEN CIRCLE CANNERY – Past a Brisbane Icon and the sights of Banyo.

NUDGEE BEACH – The one seaside stop on the route. Take in the stunning views.

MARCHANT PARK – The home of Warehouse Cricket on the Northside

THE JINKER TRACK – One of Brisbane’s most underrated roads.

NORMANBY FIVEWAYS – Who doesn’t love a fiveways.

KING WALLY and OTHERS STATUES – Our professional photographers will be there to take your photo with your favourite ex rugby league player. And why not check out the most obscure origin plaque while you’re there.

CBD LOOP – Ticking the box by heading in and out of the CBD quickly.

ROMA ST WATCH HOUSES – A treat on a Monday morning as the weekend’s misbehaviours come back to haunt many.

MILTON TENNIS COURT and GIANT STEFAN TENNIS RACQUET – See what happened to the old Tennis hub.

WACOL PRISON – See Brisbane warts and all. Plenty of Kangaroos at sunset for those wanting to see real Aussie wildlife.

INALA CIVIC CENTRE – See a different side of Brisbane before it is mercilessly crushed in the SBS doco they’re still trying to film. Councillor Charles Strunk will waive at every passing BNEXpress.

ARCHERFIELD AIRPORT – Aviation at its finest

BRISBANE FRUIT MARKET – Who doesn’t want some fresh produce.

CHARDON’S CORNER – Time for a quick drink? Nowhere finer for real Brisbane atmosphere.

DAVIES PARK – Home of the Souths Logan Magpies. Tackle Bags will be ready for each passenger.

STEFANS SKY NEEDLE – No one loves Brisbane or Mobile Phone Apps than Stefan. Share his love by admiring his Sky Needle.

THE BRISBANE SIGN AT SOUTH BANK – Token Tourist snap shot opportunity.

THE EASTERN BUSWAY – Enjoy all 1.05 km of the nearly $500M project.

THEME NIGHTS

If the normal tour is not enough excitement for you, jump on board with one of our special nights.

Leaving our stop outside Doboy Station Memorial. 8pm departure unless stated.

TUESDAY – T’nudesday Night – Jump on and get the kit off for Brisbane’s first all nude Bus Route. Over 18’s only.

WEDNESDAY – Swingers Night – Chuck your Go Card in a bowl and see what you get. The bench seats are converted for one night only. The last of the month is for Rubberists only.

THURSDAY – Uni Night – Half Price admission to Uni students, the bottom deck is converted into a bar for responsible drinking.

FRIDAY – All You Can Drink Night – Responsible Service goes out the window for one night only as $50 covers your night.

SATURDAY – NRL Super Saturday – We follow all three NRL games live on big screen as the bus tours the great city. Beers is available to purchase, and a local league identity will MC every week. Brett Plowman will host the first. A Mobile TAB facility will also be available.

SUNDAY – Holy Roller – A multi faith service will start at Doboy at 8am.

For those wanting a bigger taste, every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 12pm we offer the Northern Exposure Loop, servicing the northern limits of Greater Brisbane.

GUIDE DOGS CENTRE AT BALD HILLS – We pass a charity icon to look for cute pups.

OLD PETRIE TOWN – See an attraction the way they used to make them.

SPACE CITY SITE – See the site where they built giant domes for a Space themed Shopping Centre. Never heard of Space City? Follow this and enjoy and learn.

THE OLD AUSTRALIA SIGN FROM EXPO 88 – drive past the Bruce Highway interchange where it now lives.

KING STREET CABOOLTURE – Sample some local main street life.

KIPPA RING STATION – A chance to get on the train network and see the end result of 120 years of local planning to bring a railway to Redcliffe.

DOLPHIN OVAL – see the new grandstand.

BEE GEES TRIBUTE, REDCLIFFE FORESHORE – Possibly the first decent we’ve offered up.

DEAGON DEVIATION – Brisbane’s best named road.
