There’s barely been enough time to work off the Christmas feed and sober up before another round of EPL arrives, and so do our EPL Matchday 19 Predictions.
Many questions remain after the Boxing Day round of fixtures. Can Chelsea keep winning, can anyone catch them, and who will become Swansea’s third manager of the season. At least they are prepared for the Championship, the sacking-est Football League in Britain.
The other question is one we ask ourselves, can we beat another ridiculous opponent with our EPL Matchday 19 Predictions?
Having seen off tips decided by volume of passengers at Train stations, this week our opponent tips are based on the three letter codes for each team that you see on the TV screen. You know, for Arsenal it is ARS, for Manchester United it is MNU, and so on.
How does it work?
Well, we take the three digits for each team and assign a number based on the letter’s position on the keypad of a phone. We then add up all the digits to get a team total.
For example, Arsenal is made up of A – R – S. Which on the phone is 2 – 7 – 7. Add them up and it comes to 16. The team with the highest total gets the tip. Simples.
So here are our EPL Matchday 19 predictions, and our opponent tips baed on the team’s abbreviation.
