Time for this week’s BeIn Sports Football Highlights.
Since Foxtel have advised Sports customers that they will be paying an extra $4 per month for the privilege of the new extra channels, you may as well get on board with our BeIn Sports Football Highlights.
The addition of BeIn Sports has been as a massive bonus for us at The Gurgler. Given that we follow the mediocre-ness that is Ipswich Town, we were going to see them more in 2016-17 than ever before. Plus with every major league except the EPL, there’s was almost too much sport to follow.
So the $4 seems great value for us. But what about the ordinary sports fan who isn’t in the top 3% of sporting nerds?
Fact is Foxtel lost the EPL by falling asleep at the wheel, and they subsequently went to Optus, where you needed a phone plan to watch. So to make up for the gap that had to work a bit harder than usual and bring in BeIn Sports as well as some EPL based TV Channels to fill the gaps of a summer schedule that was set to be Hubbard bare.
So, to charge ordinary sports fans an extra $4 seems a bit cheeky. Does anyone think that Foxtel would have got the extra channels if they had kept the EPL rights? Probably not.
We’re not complaining though, we love it and $4 is not a bad price for so many hours of sports nerdery.
Talking of many hours, here’s the BeIn Sports Football Highlights for this weekend.
