Following the 2017 Queensland Cup Draw which was recently launched, it’s time to go through The Gurgler’s favourite sporting team PNG Hunters draw for 2017.
There’s no sporting team like the PNG Hunters. They have excited rugby league in Queensland, and of course PNG , since their introduction into the Queensland Cup in 2014. They have developed an almost cult following with their hard hitting rugby league mixed with their natural flair.
After a 2016 that promised so much, and delivered a first week of the finals exit, the PNG Hunters and their fans will be hoping for plenty more in 2017. Perhaps that Grand Final berth 7 million people plus The Gurgler have been waiting for. Then onto the State Championship and national recognition.
We’re getting too far ahead of ourselves. We’ll settle for going to watch a game or two.
But is very hard to see them in Port Moresby. Especially when you live in South East Queensland. Who could afford the Air Niugini to the PNG city for the Hunters home games.
Next best thing would be to head to one of their away games, which usually has a taste of the atmosphere from Port Moresby as the PNG Hunters are weel supported in South East Queensland. They should be supported more, and now you know when they are playing with our PNG Hunters Draw 2017 for South East Queensland games.
So get along to a game, you’ll miss all the fun.
FOUR GAMES NOT TO MISS
Below are the games you should attempt to see. If you can’t get to all of them. We’ll hopefully be there to cover all the action for The Gurgler, and spread the PNG Hunters gospel.
18th/19th March – Round 3 v South Logan Magpies @ Davies Pk
The PNG Hunters draw for 2017 in SEQ starts at West End in Brisbane as the Hunters take on the Magpies. A team that haven’t beaten the PNG side yet.
22nd/23rd April – Round 8 v Burleigh Bears @ Pizzey Park
The now traditional Anzac clash between Burleigh and the Hunters is always a high quality affair and worth catching if you can.
20th/21st May – Round 11 v Ipswich Jets @ North Ipswich Reserve
Two of the real entertainers of rugby league anywhere go head to head in a game that never disappoints.
29th/30th July – Round 21 v Redcliffe Dolphins @ Dolphin Oval
There’s never much in it between these two teams, and no doubt will be the same in 2017.
