Exciting rugby league news as the PNG side named for PM Clash with Australia on September 24 in Port Moresby.
The 25 man squad has been reduced to 18 but there is more than enough quality in the group to name a 17 that will fiercely test the Australians.
Anyone who has been lucky enough to visit our website before knows we have two great loves.
PNG Hunters and big Willie Minoga.
Thankfully loads of Hunters and the big man who now plays for Townsville Blackhawks have been named.
The Aussies wont know what hit them when the man known as the Raging Bull, Mack Truck, and Freight Train comes steaming at them in attack and defence. He will undoubtedly be one to watch. He us also our reigning Person of the Year.
Bromance aside, the PNG side looks strong. The Titans David Mead and Nene McDonald are up for PNG action again after starring in the Test win against Fiji on Pacific Test double header night.
The Hunters supply some of their best too with the skilled and fast half Ase Boas, livewire hooker Wartovo Puara, the surprisingly lanky and graceful Bland Abuvu, rugged prop Esau Siune and Storm bound Justin Olam part of the Hunters best who were knocked out of the Queensland Cup finals early.
Of course the other joy is getting to know those new names and faces of the players selected from the local competition.
Who knows if the next Big Willie or Ase Boas will jump into rugby league consciousness.
We hope there will be coverage or a live stream available. It will probably be better than the regular Teat Series on offer in October.
