More midweek football, just the way we like it, this time it is the League Cup Round 2. Now known as the EFL Cup.
Who cares what it is called, it is another opportunity to turn those midweek blues into wins. Get that street money ready.
By this time the EPL sides who didn’t quite achieve anything last year join the competition. They face a bunch of Football League sides looking to pull their pants down and embarrass themselves.
Most EPL will field their weakest possible sides, given the League Cup Round 2 the best possible chances for upsets.
We think EPL sides Watford, Stoke can be beaten by lower division teams, and Blackburn and Bristol City will exit from lower down.
One may ask why this competition still operates since most teams are not that interested and don’t take it too seriously. We say grow up and get on board.
TV GAMES
Thanks to the all new BeIN Sports deal, there’s two games on offer.
Wed 4:45am – Burton Albion v Liverpool
Thu 4:45 am – Morecambe v Bournemouth
The usual David v Goliath games. Burton Albion are capable of beating a Liverpool side they have offered up in past years. In form Morecambe from the fourth tier could also upset a Bournemouth side who have started their second EPL season with two losses.
A cheeky multi of Draw at 90 mins for Burton v Liverpool, and Morecambe to beat Bournemouth in 90 mins pays $41.
