All eight games with all the stats you could ever want or need with added barely interesting stats to go with. Giving you a decent wrap up of all that went on in the NRL on the weekend.
- That’s now three wins from three v sides in the top eight (at the time of the match).
- The win also sees the Dolphins are now the only team that are unbeaten against Sydney sides this season, after Melbourne lost to Cronulla.
- Dolphins are W2 L1 in their short history of games on a Thursday, and tonight’s win was the first at Suncorp Stadium on a Thursday (Overall Record W1 L1)
- The game could be barely closer for possession and territory stats. Both were between 49% and 51% for the overall stats and the half results.
- Going back to 2014, Manly have lost nine of their last 11 games at Suncorp Stadium.
- Manly have won only one away game on a Thursday night from nine attempts.
- Of the four games for lowest total points scored in 2024, Penrith have been involved in two.
- Penrith have won 22 of their last 24 home games on a Friday since 2020. Penrith have also won 23 of 25 home games played v Sydney clubs since 2020.
- Penrith have won seven in a row v Bulldogs. And seven in a row at home with a last home loss in 2016.
- Bulldogs have lost their last nine away games.
- Bulldogs have lost 11 games in a row away from home on a Friday, and 15 of their last 16. Plus 10 in a row away on a Friday to Sydney clubs.
- Parramatta have lost seven games in a row on a Friday and all four this season.
- Brisbane have won their last six away games on a Friday, but worth noting two of those were at Suncorp Stadium.
- Parramatta have now lost four of their last five v Qld sides.
- Wests Tigers record at Scully Park is W1 L4. They have also lost both games there v Newcastle.
- Newcastle have won five straight v Tigers.
- The record between these sides at Kogarah is Dragons five wins v Souths three wins (from 1998).
- Souths have lost six of their last seven on a Saturday.
- Souths have lost six away games in a row.
- Since Round 12 of last season, which is now the agreed upon period to put sh!t on Souths for their decline, they have averaged 30 points against per game.
- The Dragons record at Kogarah since 2020 is almost back to 50-50 at W11 L12.
- Dragons are three wins from four games as the home side, with the only lost being the Anzac Day clash where they weren’t really sat home.
- It was Melbourne’s first loss of the season v Sydney clubs.
- Melbourne have won just two of their last nine home games on a Saturday v Sydney teams.
- In general Saturday is the worst day for Melbourne at home. The win % on a Saturday is lowest at 71% since 1998 but drops to 53% since 2020.
- Melbourne remain the only side not to be out of the top eight at the end of the round for the season.
- Roosters have won eight in a row v Warriors. And five in a row on a Sunday.
- Roosters have won only four of their last 11 on a Sunday. Warriors have won just one of their last 11 away games on a Sunday.
- Gold Coast have won seven of their last eight at home on a Sunday. And nine of their last 11.
- That’s now five wins from six for the Gold Coast v North Queensland on a Sunday, including wins in the last four games.
- That’s five losses in a row for the Cowboys.
