2024 NRL Round 7 Tips Barely Interesting Stats Summary

Here we take the best points of interest for each match coming up this weekend and share them with you for no cost. Feel free to share with friends and family. The bold ones are our favourites.

SYD v MEL – Melbourne have won eight of their past nine games v Roosters.

SYD v MEL – Roosters have lost their last four home games v Melbourne with a last win in 2019. The Roosters have also lost their last two games v Melbourne at the Sydney Football Stadium in 2016 and 2015.

SYD v MELB – Roosters have lost all four Thursday night games v Melbourne.

SYD v MEL – Since 2022, when Joey Manu has played fullback the Rooster’s win rate is 50%. In the two times he played fullback against Melbourne the Roosters lost. Alternatively, when Joey Manu played fullback against Newcastle, the Roosters won (twice).

SYD v MELB – Melbourne have won five in a row on a Thursday. 28 of 34 games on a Thursday v all opposition. All six losses have been away for a less respectable but still imposing 11/17 away on a Thursday.

 

STGI v WAR – Warriors have won seven of their last ten games v St George Illawarra.

STGI v WAR – Dragons have lost three of their last four home games v Warriors and last two at Win Stadium v Warriors.

STGI v WAR – St George Illawarra are W2 L5 v Warriors on a Friday and have lost the only home clash on a Friday.

STGI v WAR – Dragons have lost their last four Friday games and nine of their last 11 on a Friday. Plus lost their last two games at Win Stadium on a Friday.

STGI v WAR – Since 2023, the Warriors have won nine of their past 11 games on a Friday. Including all four of their Friday away games.

 

PAR v DOL – Parramatta’s record in Darwin is W6 L3. However they have lost their last two games there, both against Qld opposition. Overall the Eels’ record in Darwin v Qld sides in W3 L3.

PAR v DOL – Parramatta’s last four Friday games have ended in defeat.

PAR v DOL – Since 2020, Parramatta’s record v Qld sides on a Friday is W7 L2.

PAR v DOL – The Dolphins record at grounds not in Queensland is W1 L7. This includes losing the last seven games.

PAR v DOL – Dolphins record away to Sydney clubs is W1 L5. Coincidentally, the Dolphins’ only away win v Sydney clubs came at Suncorp Stadium in Magic Round.

 

PEN v WT – Penrith’s record at Bathurst is W5 L4. On a Saturday it is W5 L3. But the Wests Tigers have won the only match between the sides there.

PEN v WT – Penrith have won 52 of their last 60 home games. On a Saturday it is W16 L2. Only the Wests Tigers and South Sydney have beaten the Panthers on a Saturday at home since 2020.

PEN v WT – Penrith have won only four of their last seven games v Wests Tigers.

PEN v WT – Wests Tigers have lost their last five away games on a Saturday. They have also won just one of their last eight Saturday games away to Sydney clubs.

PEN v WT – Wests Tigers have lost 11 of their last 13 matches at non regular NRL grounds going back to 2012. Penrith have won six of their last seven.

 

 

GC v MAN – Gold Coast have won their last two games v Manly.

GC v MAN – Gold Coast have lost six straight games at home on a Saturday and lost nine of their last ten. And won just two of their last 17 at home on a Saturday v Sydney clubs.

GC v MAN – Since 2020 Gold Coasts’ record v Sydney clubs is W17 L35. At home it is W9 L17.

GC v MAN – Manly have won four of the five games on the Gold Coast on a Saturday.

GC v MAN – Manly have lost six of their last seven v Qld sides. But have won five of their last six away to Qld sides.

 

 

BRI v CANB – Broncos have won nine straight Saturday games.

BRI v CANB – Canberra have won four of the last six games v Broncos.

BRI v CANB – Canberra won the last game in Brisbane, but prior to that had lost 11 of the previous 12 matches. And lost all five Saturday games in Brisbane prior to last season’s win.

BRI v CANB – Canberra have won two of their last seven away to Queensland sides.

 

 

BUL v NEWC – Bulldogs have won both of their home games this season.

BUL v NEWC – Newcastle have won five of the last six v Bulldogs.

BUL v NEWC – Bulldogs last three games at the Olympic Stadium v Newcastle have ended in three losses for a combined total of 12-108.

BUL v NEWC – Bulldogs have lost seven of their last eight v Sydney clubs on a Sunday at the Olympic Stadium.

BUL v NEWC – Newcastle have won six games in a row on a Sunday v Sydney teams.

 

CRON v NQL – Cronulla have won ten of their last 11 v North Queensland. And won nine of their last 11 home games v Cowboys.
