FPL Captain Picks GW6 Captain’s Table
Here are the FPL Captain Picks GW6 results. A full explanation of the stats and calculations are provided at the end.
We show only the top ten, the entire data is determined by our selection of the top 30 or so potential captain choices.
Stats are based up to GW5 except for scoring records v opposition..
FPL Captain Picks GW6 Analysis
Cristiano Ronaldo just wins our GW6 FPL Captain’s Table by less than one point (according to our FPL Captain system) and who could argue given his returns since returning to the Premier League. Ronaldo has a decent record against this weekend’s opposition too at just under a goal or assist per game. Doubts on whether he can maintain this all season or against better opposition is irrelevant for now. One must milk this cow.
Liverpool have two quality options in Mane and Salah, but after seeing Brentford’s real deal display against Wolves last weekend, we are predicting it may be a tight game where Liverpool might just nick a late-ish winner. So that means there may be less goal scoring threat from the Liverpool players this weekend.
Romelu Lukaku didn’t score against Spurs last weekend and is playing Man City this weekend. So tough to see him scoring against Man City if he couldn’t v Spurs last weekend.
Manchester City have so many options, with more big names coming back like KDB and Foden who will no doubt join our Captain’s table soon enough. But for now, with this week’s difficult fixture (v Chelsea A) and even more quality players into the mid rotation mix you can barely afford to put up with Pep’s roulette selections, let alone name one of them as captain.
TOP TEN CAPTAIN PICKS STATS
For your consideration are the below key stats from last season’s FPL for the Top Ten players from our Captain’s Table.
FPL Captain Picks GW6 Final Say
HELLO – Cristiano Ronaldo – Ronaldo just edges Salah for us because of the opposition. Brentford look tough to break down while Man Utd’s opponent looks a little less likely.
CALL ME MAYBE – Michail Antonio- After a Red Card enforced week off the West Ham striker will be fresh and have a point to prove. Leeds look like a decent opposition to play too.
GOODBYE – Harry Kane – Hard to think such a premium player doesn’t make our top ten, but he doesn’t. Until he does we can’t take him.
